Epic Games won't be bringing Gears of War 2 to the PC. That's their story and they're stickin' to it. It's 'definitely' not happening, swears designer Cliff Bleszinski, pointing to a worsening PC gaming environment.' The person who is savvy enough to want to have a good PC to upgrade their video card, is a person who is savvy enough to know bitTorrent to know all the elements so they can pirate software,' says Bleszinski. Oh, not you, Cliff. We were talking to the dude stealing your game.ty.i kinda have to agree with him though. I didn't too much care for it on the PC. It didn't feel right.I disagree, I thought it was great they release a PC version of it. My notebook had no problem playing it, and it has a budget card. As for the piracy argument, last time I check, they're still selling the Gears of War DVD for the Xbox 360 for RM10 at my local shopping mart.
Piracy is not going to go away anytime soon just because there is no PC version, it just means the Xbox 360 version will be pirated more. And that leaves people like me who cannot afford a console unable to play a game that I currently like.Scirwode. I never played it on PC but heard enough to feel that perhaps if they had bothered to actually release the title in a non buggy state they would have received better sales. What did they honestly expect?
Release a title that got universally panned for being buggy and doing it 12 months after anyone who really wanted to play the game probably had already. Sales were never going to be huge on this title to be honest, especially when people had so many technical issues which were purely Epics fault.Yeah yeah piracy isn't great either.but you do yourself no favors when you release a sloppy product. Whats your reasons!because i find that very hard to believe.cause to pirate a game on the PC you don't have to take it apart (xbox are not easy to take apart the first couple of times), take out the dvd drive, download linux distro that allows you to see the drive (i forget the mode that its called) in windows, flash the firmware, but the dvd drive back in, and put the xbox back together. Not to mention you need to download the game, or god forbid do it yourself, which involves taking apart a DVD drive, putting in a DVD, taking it out while its still spinning from the top of the drive and then putting in your xbox game so the proper software to rip it.
